I'm Dave Simmer, a Massachusetts solar designer and NABCEP-trained professional based in Scituate, MA. Since 2011, I've designed and overseen over 1,800 residential and commercial solar installations across the South Shore — from Scituate and Hingham to Plymouth and the towns in between. If it works, great. If it doesn’t, I will tell you that too. Not every house is a good fit, and people appreciate hearing that upfront.

I have been working in solar for over 15 years, mostly right here on the South Shore. I have seen just about every type of roof, layout, and electrical setup you can imagine. That local experience matters. It helps avoid surprises and leads to cleaner, better installs.

I also think solar should be done the right way. Too many homeowners end up with systems that do not really make financial sense, or feel like they were pushed into something they did not fully understand. That is what I try to avoid.
